How to Switch a Tool/Die to a Different Machine Using the QR Code

1.     Locate the QR code on the Monitor affixed to the Tool you wish to move.

2.     Using a smartphone QR scanning application, scan the QR code and goto the link.

3.     You may be prompted to log in to Pro-File, please do so and you will land on the view asset page for that tool.

4.     If the tool is currently connected to a machine you will be prompted to disconnect and confirm the disconnect. If the tool is NOT currently connected, please proceed down to step 9.

5.     To connect the tool to a new machine click on the Configuration tab.

6.     Click on the Edit button.

7.     Using the Machine drop-down menu, select a new machine to assign the tool to.

8.     Click the Save button.

9.     If the tool is currently NOT connected to a machine, you will be prompted to connect it to a machine. Click on the Connect to Machine button.

10.     Select a machine from the drop-down menu or click the Scan QR Code button and scan the machine's QR Code. Then click the Confirm and Connect button.

Update Asset Permissions

This chart illustrates the default role/permission configuration for the ProFile application. A green check means that the role is allowed to perform the action. A red circle means that the role cannot perform the action. Note that your experience may vary, as these roles are customizable. Please contact support if you have any specific questions.
