ProFile & Time Zones

A brief note on time zones within ProFile.

Regardless of where the user is located all reports and data grouped with a timestamp are always displayed in the timezone of the plant.

Looking at the top bar in ProFile will show you the plant's time zone in relation to yours

Hovering over this area will display your time zone and the plants timezone

When handling dates and the start hour and end hour is not specified, meaning the data displayed is for the entire day, we use the plant's reset time, which is a property that every plant has.

In the example above: ProFile would set 2024-02-23 07:15 as the start timestamp and 2024-03-08 07:15 as the end timestamp, and they would be in the plant's time zone.

If you select Today, the start timestamp would be the current day starting from plant reset time and the end timestamp will be the current plant time.
