Work Orders Overview
In ProFile, users can view Work Orders in a dedicated Work Orders screen, where Work Orders are listed in a grid view complete with filtering and view customization.
The work order grid lists the following information:
- Work Order - Name of the work order
- Work Order Category - Category of the work order
- Asset ID - ID of the associated asset
- Requested - The timestamp of when the request was submitted
- Assigned To - User who is assigned to the work order
- Cyc Since Request - The number of cycles since the work order was requested
- Status - Current status of the work order
- Priority - Priority of the work order (low, medium, or high)
- Work Requested - A description of the work that needs to be completed
- Manage - A button that navigates to the work order preparation form
- Edit - A button that navigates to the work order form where specific fields pertaining to the work order can be edited
Accessing the Work Orders Screen
To access the Work Orders screen.
1. Click the "Work Orders" button in the left hand navigation bar.
Filtering Work Orders
Work Orders can be filtered by the following categories:
- Asset ID - ID of the asset associated with the Work Order
- Asset Class - Class or type of asset associated with the Work Order
- Priority - Prioritization of the Work Order (ex. Low, Medium, or High)
- Assigned To - The user who is assigned to the Work Order
- Status - Current status of the Work Order (Low, Medium, or High)
To filter Work Orders:
1. Use any of the dropdowns to filter the Work Order Grid. (multiple dropdowns can be active at once to combine filters).
Saving Views
Users can save the set of filters they have, to recall later, into something called a view.
To save views:
1. Click the "Save View" button after you have the desired filters in place.
2. Give the view a name and click the "Submit" button.
Load Views
To load a saved view:
1. Click the "Load View" button
2. Click "Load" next to the view you wish to recall.
Reset Filters
Filters can be reset at any time. To reset the filters just click the "Reset Filter" button.
Managing Work Orders
Work orders can be managed from the work order grid by way of the manage button. The work order can be moved through it's different phases of:
- Created - The initial phase of work order at creation time
- Ready for work - The post preparation phase
- In work - Currently being worked phase
- Closed - Work order is complete

List Work Order Permissions
This chart illustrates the default role/permission configuration for the ProFile application. A green check means that the role is allowed to perform the action. A red circle means that the role cannot perform the action. Note that your experience may vary, as these roles are customizable. Please contact support if you have any specific questions.
Managing Views
Searches and filters and any combinations thereof can be saved as a View.
