Create a New Preventative Maintenance Checklist Template
Create a New Preventative Maintenance Checklist Template
The ProFile system uses preventative maintenance checklist templates to automatically create checklists for users to complete based on specific triggers. For more information about preventative maintenance in ProFile, read the article "Preventative Maintenance Overview."
Creating new preventative maintenance checklist templates is done from the Administration section of ProFile. There are two methods for Creating New PM Checklists: Enterprise PM Checklist and Plant PM Checklists. The Enterprise PM Checklist method is best when you want to copy a PM checklist over to multiple Plants associated with a particular Enterprise. Plant PM Checklist creation is good when you only want the PM checklist to be used at one particular Plant.

Creating the PM Checklist
1. Give your PMC Template a name in the "Name" field.
2. Optionally, give your PMC template a description.
3. Click the "Active" toggle if you do not want the PM checklist to show on assets. It is active by default and will be selectable on the asset class types you specify.
4. Select an asset class from the "Select Asset Class" dropdown.
5. Select your conditions. Your conditions can use AND or OR logic. If you choose AND all of the conditions will need to be met. If you choose OR only one of the specified conditions needs to be met.
6. Select "Cycles", "Hours", "Calendar" or any combination of the three. You can choose "Not Recurring/Recurring" from the available dropdown. On cycles and hours you can specify the "Start Count" and if your dropdown is set to "Recurring" you can also specify an "Interval".

9. Add any checkpoints you want by clicking the "Add Checkpoint" button. Fill out the description field and click the checkmark icon when you are finished.
10. Click the "Save" button at the top of the form.
