Change an Assets Location

Editing Plant Location

To edit an Asset's location:

1. From the "View Asset" screen click the "Edit" button.

2. Change the assets location using the "Location" dropdown menu.

3.Click the "Save" button.

Editing GPS Location

With any asset selected click on the "Update Location" button. The ProFile system will attempt to retrieve the GPS location of the device. If it finds the location it will automatically fill the longitude and latitude values. (Warning: Your browser may ask for your permission to access your current location information)

If you wish to edit the GPS location manually, click the "Update Location" button again and edit the longitude and latitude fields by clicking within the fields and entering new values or clicking the up and down arrows to adjust the current values incrementally.

Change Asset Location Permission

This chart illustrates the default role/permission configuration for the ProFile application. A green check means that the role is allowed to perform the action. A red circle means that the role cannot perform the action. Note that your experience may vary, as these roles are customizable. Please contact support if you have any specific questions.
