Managing Users
From the administration screen users can be managed in the "Manage Users" section.
Accessing User Management
To access the "Manage Users" section:
1. Click on the "Administration" button in the left hand navigation bar and click on the "Manage Users" button, under "User Access Control".
Adding New Users
To add a new user:
1. Click on the "Add User" button.
2. Fill out the "Add User" form fields such as "E-mail", "Name", "Language", "Notes", and "Avatar".
3. Click on the "Add Role" button, to assign the user a role that will grant them specific permissions.
4. Select a role from the dropdown options.
5. Click the "Add New" button to then assign the user to a client.
6. Select a client from the dropdown options.
7. Click "Add".
Deleting Users
To delete a user:
From the "Manage Users" screen click the three dot button and click "Delete"
Resetting Passwords
Resetting password cannot be done administratively. Only the users themselves can reset their passwords. Check the related article Reset Password for more information.
Bulk Adding Users
Users can be added in bulk simply by downloading the template, filling it out with the users you wish to add and then uploading the filled out form.
To bulk add users:
1. Click the "Bulk Upload Users" button from the "Manage Users" screen.
2. Click the "Download Template" button on the "Bulk Upload Users" screen.
3. Open the template file in an application that can read and edit .csv files such as Microsoft Excel.
4. Fill out the template with "Full Name", "Email address", and "Language code" for every user you wish to add (use the provided language code table).
5. Save the filled out file and click the "Upload User File" button from the "Bulk Upload Users" screen.
Once the users are added. The users can be edited to add additional information such as roles and assigned clients.
Bulk Assigning Roles
Roles can be applied to multiple users at once. However, the same roles will be applied to all of the users that you assign in one bulk operation.
To bulk assign users:
1. Click the "Bulk Assign Roles" button in the "Manage Users Screen"
2. From the "Available Users" panel click the checkmark next to the users you want to assign roles too.
3. Click the right arrow button to add users to the "Selected users" panel.
4. Click the "Add Role" button and select the roles you wish to add to the user. Then click "Apply Roles"
5. Click the "Add New" button to select a client.
6. Click the "Apply Roles" button.
Managing User Permissions
This chart illustrates the default role/permission configuration for the ProFile application. A green check means that the role is allowed to perform the action. A red circle means that the role cannot perform the action. Note that your experience may vary, as these roles are customizable. Please contact support if you have any specific questions.
